From the starting point, walk for about 170 m to the two entrances of Lau Shui Heung Country Trail: one is a flat road entrance and the other is a stairway entrance. You can first enter through the flat road entrance, and walk for about 500 m to Lau Shui Heung Irrigation Reservoir, where you can view the reflection of the Bald Cypress (Taxodium distichum) on the opposite shore mirrored on the water surface, enjoying the beautiful “Sky Mirror” scenery. If visiting in winter, you can also enjoy the sight of the tree canopies turning red.

After viewing the Bald Cypress scenery, return to the Lau Shui Heung Country Trail entrance, and climb for about 200 m from the stairway entrance to the viewing point. Visitors can rest here and overlook Lau Shui Heung Irrigation Reservoir, Queen’s Hill, and Tai Leng Pei. Then, continue uphill for about 800 m to the junction of Lau Shui Heung Country Trail and Wilson Trail (Section 9). Turn left here toward Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir. Walk for about 1 km to the junction with Hok Tau Reservoir Family Walk. Turn right and follow the family walk around Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir. Along the way, you can glimpse the reservoir through the trees, and after walking for about 2 km, you will reach the dam of Hok Tau Irrigation Reservoir. The reservoir was mainly used to provide irrigation water for Hok Tau Wai and its surrounding areas in the past, which once produced the widely popular Hok Tau Pak Choi, known for its low fibre content and sweet taste. Continue from the dam and walk for about 850 m along Hok Tau Road to Hok Tau Campsite to complete your journey.
