Hailed as “Asia’s best urban hike”, the world-renowned Dragon’s Back connects Shek O Peak with Wan Cham Shan along the ridgeline. It was so named because of the resemblance of its meandering and undulating hills to the shape of a dragon’s back. Climbing up from the entrance of Hong Kong Trail Section 8 near To Tei Wan, a viewing point is not far away for you to enjoy the scenic beauties of Tai Tam Bay and Tai Tam Harbour. Then, hike uphill and reach Shek O Peak to admire the endless blue expanse of Shek O Wan and the southern islands. Finally, follow the shaded path that winds around Mount Collinson towards the trail’s end at Tai Tam Gap. The entire hike takes only about 2.5 hours. It is definitely worth a visit to experience its unique charm!
